‘The Batteries’ – use affective fluids (caffein, hormones, herbal tinctures and essential oils); forces at times invited into bodies to support and/or regulate them. Here they roam, blot, and stream through found emergency plans, check lists, small obligations and base icons of hope such as hearts, check marks and rudimentary time trackers.
These works play abstract expressionism relationally, looping colour and fluid as moving across and through people and institutions in processes lively and directional. Often at odds with one another, they cycle these poles energetically.
